Gallery Wall.

Hello!

Thanks for all of the love on Saturday's post.  I spent the better part of Sunday trying to figure out how to get this blog looking a little better with the help of Photoshop.  I am so totally and utterly clueless about this program, like clueless, clueless.  Anyhow, with the help of a few wonderful tutorials, I was able to create a little something to go along with today's post (key word....little) and I even managed to create a jazzy new banner.  Hopefully within a few months, I will have learned a tad bit more and I'll be able to incorporate those lessons learned here.

If you follow me on instagram, then you know that I'm toying with the idea of a gallery wall above the couch in the living room.  Thinking of going with 3 rows of 3 Ribba frames (painted gold of course).

Now, since money is an object, I'm going to attempt to do a little abstract art.  I've tried before and failed miserably, but a little piece of me thinks that I can somehow do it.  We'll see.

Inspiration for the wall:

1, 2

my own photos

I have yet to find the perfect colours for the paintings, but that's an example of what they will look like.

I'm digging it.

Now, as for the blog.  I'm going to work on a having a schedule of some sort.  I will keep with topics that interest me, so fashion, decor and such. I'll continue to post about my efforts to get this house decorated and any type of finds I uncover.  Should be fun, no?!

Cheers,

I love your idea of a gallery wall, Julie. I am going to do the same in my hall way once it's finished.
Love the new look! Think I may update mine too

Things are looking good up in here! I like your gallery wall mockups. I wish I could stick with a blog schedule but I always end up being a post-at-the-last-minute kinda girl.

I have two gallery walls in my house! I love them... though I think I'll be changing one up a bit. Super easy-- I think it's Michael's has a diagram for gallery wall setups.
My grandparents used to have these in their houses.. so much fun to look at all the old pictures! :)
